We’ve got a status report on the current round of internal Super Lesbian Animal RPG playtesting, including screenshots of some of the new content and information on a new feature!
a little experiment i wanted to get out of my system! as i’ve said before, i daydream a lot about making a platformer starring allison from Super Lesbian Animal RPG. a while back i did a few NES-stylemockups just for fun. well, recently i started wondering what it would look like if i did a 2d platformer in this world with hand drawn hd art. so to test that art style out, i redrew the original 8-bit mockup
i’m really happy with the results (the character sprites especially), but this would be WAY too much work for a project with one artist, so it will probably remain a mockup
a new illustration for Super Lesbian Animal RPG, featuring the party heading out for an adventure on the Sapphire Islands! thank you so much to everyone who’s checked out the demo and helped it hit 10,000 downloads! we’re still plugging away and pouring a lot of love into the full game to make sure it lives up to the hype
this isn’t a real game i’m working on, but I love platformers to death and frequently fantasize about making one with my characters from Super Lesbian Animal RPG (mainly Allison). so for fun, here’s an NES-style platformer mockup featuring Melody and Allison, with bonus 16-bit versions of their lil sprites. this probably couldn’t run on actual NES hardware (that big background especially) but I MOSTLY stuck to the proper color restrictions
one fun detail a lot of players may have missed in the Super Lesbian Animal RPG demo is the status screen! each one has a little character profile inspired by Mel’s “dating profile” from the demo’s intro
i wanted to have some unique art here for each character rather than enlarged sprites, but those got cut from the demo for time and will have to wait for the full game
here are the full versions of two very important pieces of art of Melody and Allison from the intro of the Super Lesbian Animal RPG demo! I had to make sure players get to a sparkly shoujo kiss shot as soon as possible haha
