THIS IS IT!! The big development milestone we’ve been working towards all year! The first half of SLARPG has hit alpha and is now playable from start to finish, and internal playtesting has begun!

Here’s this month’s development update for Super Lesbian Animal RPG! We’ve been making very good progress, so this is a big one (even if I do have to talk in broad terms to avoid spoiling things)

Sure! Keep in mind that all of this is naturally subject to change, especially the stats themselves. (Also if you’re really worried about the numbers, none of them have equipment here.)

tried recreating the cute little photo of melody and allison from @slarpg [go play the demo it’s good] in new horizons - it’s not perfect, mostly due to the limited palette, but it does look pretty cute nonetheless

What are the differences between the paladin specializations?

Within the demo, each specialization has a bit of unique dialogue, and at level 2 Melody learns her chosen spec’s signature Star Power spell:

As a Woodland Paladin, she learns Woodland Healing, a spell that heals one party member over time
As an Amorous Paladin, she learns Paladin’s Gift, which partially restores one party member’s MP
And as a Resolute Paladin, she learns Resolute Seal, which adds a damaging status effect to a single enemy

In the full game, each spec will have one or two more unique spells to learn, as well as a bit of exclusive optional story content. But don’t stress too much over the choice. The main story is unchanged by Melody’s spec, and her playstyle can still be customized quite a bit via different Spellbooks and equipment

Here’s a new feature in Super Lesbian Animal RPG to enhance your adventuring experience: a Quest Log! Perfect for when you need a reminder of what you were supposed to do next, or what side quests you haven’t finished. And for the story buffs, the Quest Log also features a Lore tab!

(As an aside: if the addition of a Quest Log gives you painful memories of MMOs asking you to grind for 15 boar tusks or something like that, don’t worry. SLARPG is not that kind of game. The side quests are mostly optional story content and little treasure hunts, not fetch quests.)

Big shoutout to modern algebra over at the RPG Maker Resource Kit, whose Quest Journal script from 2012 serves as the basis of this menu–although I have modified it some to give it that SLARPG flair, and the Lore tab is a pretty unconventional use for it
