With @slarpg on it’s way soon, I thought I’d repost some old fanart I did of it in like 2019
Do you have plans to put this on the Nintendo store ?
You should not count on a game made in a decade-old version of RPG Maker coming to consoles anytime soon, no
With the launch of the game imminent, we’re now beginning to release SLARPG’s prologue comic! Written and colored by myself (@ponett), with illustrations by @kyssimmee!
I’ll be posting it here when all three parts have been released so that it can just be reblogged as one comic, but for now you can read the first four pages over on the SLARPG Twitter
After seven long years, the first round of players will finally get to play SLARPG when the Patreon Beta begins…
TOMORROW.
(And the full release will be soon after as well!! Waiting on our build to get approved by Valve before we can lock in the release date.)
BETA KEYS HAVE BEEN DISTRIBUTED!!
If you’re a current or former Patron at the $5 tier or above, check your email! And if you forgot to update your Patreon email or whatever and the key didn’t come through, let me know!
And for those who aren’t in on the Beta, I know I’m a broken record, but the full release will be very soon!!

are you going to open preorders at any point? Or is that something that requires a defined release date to allow on steam/itch? I plan on buying a few copies for friends either way lol
itch allows preorders, but Steam basically only allows well-established publishers to do them, so nope! No preorders. I probably wouldn’t do them anyway
So I checked the platform availability section on the game’s FAQ, and I was wondering why it would be a benefit to purchase it on itch.io instead of steam? Is the presence of DRM a deal breaker that big of a factor in choosing where to buy this game (genuine question, don’t know jack about DRM and it’s effects on games)?
I mean, from our perspective, the main difference is that we get a slightly bigger cut of the profits on itch compared to Steam. DRM is a dealbreaker for a lot of people for a wide variety of reasons that I won’t write an essay on here, but it isn’t as much of a concern for a game like this. So as a player, it’s mostly just a matter of where you like to buy your games in general. Do you like the convenience of Steam? Then buy it on Steam. Do you prefer itch? Then it’s also on itch
Aside from some basic Steam functionality like cloud backups for saves, the main difference is for players who would like to try to use things like Wine to get the game running on Mac or Linux. The Steam version comes with a Windows-specific script to disable the annoying default RPG Maker function that resets the game when you hit F12 - which is, you know. The default screenshot key on Steam. But this script has caused errors with Wine conversions in the past, so it’s recommended that anyone trying to follow a conversion guide use the itch version since it doesn’t have that script at all
Is there a set release date in December? So excited to finally play this soon!!
We have a date we’re aiming for, but things are kind of down to the wire as we’re wrapping up, so I’m avoiding saying a specific date just yet so as to not jinx it
We’re aiming for before Christmas, though
Super Lesbian Animal RPG is almost here!! We’re mere days away now. We can’t wait for everyone to finally explore the Sapphire Islands in the very near future
(obligatory plug to wishlist it on Steam or see the website for more info)
Sorry if you've answered this before, but are you planning on releasing any official merch for slarpg? I love the game's visual style a lot, and I also love financially supporting things I like in just about any way I can. Plus it'd just be fun to have a little Claire keychain or something!
It’s definitely something I’d like to do! Small things like prints, pins, or T-shirts are easy enough to get made these days, but I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t also thought about how much I’d love some plushes someday
I’ll be thinking about it more after we see how well the game itself does, though. For now we’re just focusing on releasing the game, soundtrack, and prologue comic in the coming weeks
Hey everyone! SLARPG will be here before we know it, so I’ve set up a rewards survey for my current and former $5+ Patreon supporters to make sure everyone gets their copy via their preferred storefront and the proper names are in the credits
More info and a link to the survey can be found in this brief Patreon update
forgive me if this has already been stated somewhere, but do you know what price the game will be yet? or is that something you're waiting to reveal until later? i know the game's coming out soon either way so i guess i'll know soon regardless but i was just wondering ^^
The game will be $15 USD!
Here it is! After years of development, Super Lesbian Animal RPG is releasing NEXT MONTH! December 2022! For now, enjoy the trailer! You can add it to your wishlist on Steam, or add it to a collection on itch.io.
About the game:
Melody Amaranth is a kindhearted but meek transgender fox from the small town of Greenridge. Recently, she made two important realizations about herself. One: she’s deeply in love with her adventurous best friend, Allison Goleta. (The feeling was mutual.) And two: if Allison has her heart set on becoming an adventurer, then maybe Melody could join her. As a healer.
It all seemed perfect. And then things got weird.
Super Lesbian Animal RPG is a classic-inspired turn-based roleplaying game about love, anxiety, and fighting funny looking monsters in dungeons. It follows the stories of Melody, Allison, and their friends Claire (a sarcastic, rule-bending witch) and Jodie (a dependable, somewhat motherly knight). Over the course of their journey, our inexperienced heroes will meddle with forces beyond their control and find themselves responsible for the fate of their hometown. They’ll also fight some spherical frogs, travel to a forgotten land in the sky, befriend a robot or two, and piss off the local librarian. But that should go without saying.
More info can be found at the game’s site, slarpg.com
